i haven't had much time for the last few weeks to do much creative writing, but starting this past weekend and a couple of evenings this week i've managed to get some time in? it was a combination of slight fandom burnout and real life unfortunately having to take up all my time, but it feels good to poke at some wips again! and somewhat surprisingly it's been hetalia?

in focus as of late has been the hungary/nyostria (fraustria, heh), but i'm struggling with how i want to structure it (one shot? all scenes as separate chapters n calling it a collection?), or if i should rip out the longest scene and make that a oneshot of its own and post the rest of the scenes as a collection of ficlets, with both as part of a series? i'm worried that'd look like i'm trying to game for more kudos tho, but i think the issue is that the scenes are such different lengths it doesn't flow that nicely when in oneshot form imo, otoh maybe the break of jumping between "chapters" would be too jarring.. i should probably finish it before i start worrying about this though lmao.. it's basically just costume porn and horny lesbian yearning with vague mentions of history lol but i'm having fun,

also, since yesterday i finally started working on the nichu "sequel" fic again! the inspiration just struck out of nowhere... it's pm just going to a pwp tho, and i think i might have to include a disclaimer about how i view/headcanon the nation-tans and history bc nichu is so easy to.. go places where i'm not comfortable with going, and i don't want people to assume that of it either? the fic is set vaguely in modern times, but it's written in a similar vein to the first fic and it does include mentions of chn's scar in several places n some vague stuff about jp's feelings irt it, and some mild implications re chn's past w european forces unrelated to the scar, even if nothing is detailed.. the balance between history, complex relationships in real life, and what's okay to include in hetalia fic isn't necessarily difficult, but it can differ a lot what people feel comfortable with or think appropriate. i've def read some darker pieces for many ships/charas in the past, but it's not necessarily something i seek out now, but i also like certain elements to be somewhat acknowledged/implied as it reassures me the writer is.. aware of the issue having happened? i'm probably just thinking too much about a fic where abt a third of the word count currently is foot fetishism
